Waste Week: Rice Pudding
Serves: 1 Cooking time: 35 minutes
First of our waste week recipes, this warming rice pudding that all the family can enjoy.
1/2 cup of Total Sweet Xylitol
2 cups of cooked rice
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups of milk
1/2 tsp of vanilla essence
1/4 cup of raisins
1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 175ºC.
- Place the 2 cups of rice in a bowl and add the Total Sweet®, 2 eggs, milk, vanilla essence, raisins and ground cinnamon and stir until all ingredients are combined.
- Pour mixture into a greased baking dish or pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Cover the top of the warm rice pudding and place it in the fridge to cool.
