Waste Week: Rice Pudding

Serves: 1 Cooking time: 35 minutes

First of our waste week recipes, this warming rice pudding that all the family can enjoy. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of cooked rice
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup of raisins
  • 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 175ºC. 
  2. Place the 2 cups of rice in a bowl and add the Total Sweet®, 2 eggs, milk, vanilla essence, raisins and ground cinnamon and stir until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish or pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  4. Cover the top of the warm rice pudding and place it in the fridge to cool.
