Waste Week: Cornflakes Cookies

Serves: 25 Cooking time: 30 minutes

The second of our waste week treats! Do you want something that’s a kid’s fan favourite…? Look no further than these crunchy cornflake cookies.   


  • 1/2 cup of white corn syrup
  • 1 cup of peanut butter (try hazelnut butter or almond butter).
  • 3 cups of cornflakes cereal.


  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and add cornflakes to a large bowl.
  2. Cook Total Sweet® and syrup over medium heat until the mixture bubbles. Then stir in the peanut butter until smooth and combined.
  3. Combine the mixture and cornflakes and stir gently.
  4. Shape into circles and place on the baking sheet to harden for 15 to 25 minutes. Store in a covered container.
