Waste Week: Chocolate Brownies

Serves: 12 Cooking time: 35 minutes

Last, but not least, waste week dessert! These delicious chocolate brownies will leave you having a chocolate overload… 


  • 1/2 cup of chocolate (chopped)
  • 1 cup of vanilla yoghurt
  • 3/4 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/2 cup of milk (or almond milk)
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips (optional)


  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC and line an 8 × 8 pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt your chocolate in the microwave. Let sit for 2 minutes, before adding yoghurt and Total Sweet®. Whisk until smooth and move to a larger bowl.
  3. Add flour, cocoa powder and baking soda, and mix until combined. Add milk until fully incorporated. Fold chocolate chips through if using.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or if a knife runs clear.
